TRAINING PHILOSOPHY

We are instituting a new innovative instruction method which I call the “Sports Management Method” in place with Coaches instead of Foremen and Teammates instead of Helpers for a less ridged technique with a team effort principal at it’s base. We will use phrases like “Huddle Up” for getting together for a strategy meeting or “Touchdown” for doing a good job and sow on. With self affirming encouragement, we will accomplish a lot more with a pat on the back then with false praise. Our Teammates will learn from hard nosed semi-retired tradespeople that want to see the Teammate’s succeed…for life.

Support for Teammates

All of our coaches have extensive experience the construction industry and as Tradespeople, administration, and logistics/office/jobsite managers, the Teammates will receive the best chance to succeed. Most of our Coaches have played and/or coached Hockey, Football, Soccer Boxing and Baseball with all ages. Our Coaches also have lifelong connections in the Construction business. They are “MASTER BUILDERS” that can help in the placement of the teammates once the Teammates have proven they have the right stuff

Course Outline.

Teammates will start with our 30day paid “Tryout” (sponsorship from donors and/or potential employers required), upon completion of the “Tryout”, Teammates may be invited to a paid 5mo. job @18. per hour in our ARU and Modular Home facility or Job placement with local contractors in the London area on a contract basis for a trial period that may lead to a full-time placement with an possible apprentice and/or a Union job. When the full 6 mounts of instruction is completed the teammate will be able to impress most contractors and go out on their own. Or stay with “The Great Canadian Build UP” -(ARU/ Modular Homes Facility)-

If YOU would like to sponsor a Teammate or, many teammates, by Per-Ordering a Home your effort would be welcomed by teammates . You would be giving a young person a new start on life. The sponsorship covers the Teammates expenses, building rent, Insurances, utilities, salaries and all the materials used by the Teammates during the construction.

Teammate Support

Our experienced Coaches will be on hand daily (5 days a week) for teammate consultations in safety, building code and in actual construction of A.R.U’s (Additional Residential Unit). To be sold to the public at a discount price in support of the continuation of our mandate to “Train UP” our unemployed people.

Project Management

We will train up to 20 teammates per month for a 30day “Try out” then possibly moving them into our APU/ Modular Home Building facility for crew evaluations. When the teammate has proven that they can be on time and have the hand eye coordination needed for a physically demanding career. There will be other openings within The Great Canadian Build UP Inc. in administration, material handler/forklift operator or even as a salesperson. There are many opportunities within our company other than as a builder. “Team Build UP”, The Coaches, Managers and G.M. will evaluate each teammate in a meeting at the end of the 30day “Tryout” session in hopes of becoming a member of the “Great Canadian Build UP TEAM.

Architectural Solutions

The ARU’s (Additional Residential Unit) and Modular Homes will be custom designed and constructed in house. The ARU’s will vary in design to suit the different zoning in London On. with new stylish designs with ECO useability and function at the forefront. The designers will have customer input in mind while abiding by the building code. Each property is different and so are the bi-laws. We will not have a bare bones cookie cutter ARU’s House design. Each ARU/modular Home is custom because each house location will have height, setback and sow on restrictions for each property. We also have very unique one of a kind custom designs/concepts by Randy. T. Young Pres. that will set your new ARU/Modular Home apart from the rest. Randy will take your suggestions and blend them with his vision then take them to an architect to be drawn up.
